IT Governance and IT Audit using COSO and COBIT Methodology

What is it ?

The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) developed an Internal Control (IC) framework over a decade ago and more recently, a framework for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). The COSO IC model has been adopted by the SEC as a “best practice” for assessing internal control for compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Control Objectives for Information Technology (COBIT) is an internationally accepted standard for IT security and control practices. COBIT provides a framework for management, users, IT audit and security practitioners, and others to communicate and implement a common set of IT governance, control and measurement criteria.
